When WTAF posted last month about becoming a grandma, it took everything in me not to chime in. But the secret is basically out now.

I'm joining the club!! First time, too!

..Congrats #4...we became members of the GPs club about 18 months ago. It sure changes how you look at life and the priorities we make going forward with a grandchild in the picture. I must admit that I worry about the world our grandson is going to inherit.

Thanks everyone! It's still not public knowledge, but we've been able to tell a few close friends. She gets the results of her genetic blood testing later this week, and with good results, we will be able to tell all of our friends and family. We knew for over five weeks before she even told our other daughter, who lives ten minutes from us!

Several weeks ago, I started a thread about what names people use to be referred to as a grandma. I actually knew then, but couldn't make it public. I've gone over that thread several times to see what sits with me, and for now, it seems to be Nana.

Looking forward to this stage of my life!

Thanks everyone.

Great news! She heard this morning that all of her genetic tests came back normal!!

We're having a family FaceTime call tonight for them to do a gender reveal with us!

It all of a sudden makes everything very real.

So it's a boy!

I guessed it; I have MANY friends who all have daughters, and very friggin' one of those daughters is only having boys. It's sort of fascinating! But yea, based on my personal experience, I called boy and was right.

Grand parenting is the greatest invention around!

But I will tell you that there are more t-shirts, mugs, blankets, and trinkets that say "Grandma" than anything else. 😊😊😊

Congratulations! Welcome to the grandparents' club!

I just became a grandmother too, a baby girl! We are ecstatic because I have three sons, two brothers, and WH has a brother, so a girl was a nice surprise (although as long as the baby is healthy, it didn't matter)!

Unfortunately, she lives in another state, we visited once, but with Covid, we won't be able to visit again for awhile. My heart is broken!

I pray your daughter has an easy pregnancy!

(P.S. Start shopping. It's so much fun buying things for the baby!) grin
