Thanks for all your help. I miss you already....

It's said that experiences do more for the soul/heart/gut than things. Living in different places for 3 months at a time is one of the best ways to find new experiences I can think of. I think you've made a good choice, and I wish you the best in your travels.

I am so glad I checked in — this gives me a chance to tell you how much I appreciate you and all of the hard work you put in making SI a safe place.

You and HT are awesome and I am so glad you guys are getting to focus on each other.

Say hey to HT for me, his cut to the chase logical wisdom will be missed as well.

My wife never posted here, but she read a lot here. We’re in an amazing place with our rebuilt M and you, HT are a big part of that.

Thanks so much from both of us, thanks for paying it forward with your time and energy, and may your adventures continue!

I am so pleased for you both.

But gosh, what a pang. To everything there is a season, and SI has to change and garner new leaders and guides to survive. It is the way of things.

But you have always been, for me, the direct link back to DS, and the foremost keeper of her flame.

Truly I am happy for you two. But also a little bereft.

This just brought me to tears. I thank you for that. Probably the highest compliment I could get.

Oldwounds, HT says hi right back! So glad you checked in!

Sisoon, I am always a pm away! I will come visit when we pass through your area.

Thank you zebra25, BluerthanBlue, and HouseofPlane! Keep on helping those behind you.

WOES,

You and HT are such beautiful people. I’m so happy that you are both taking this time to enjoy the things you want. It’s very much deserved.

You’ve been so great for SI and all of the ways you’ve given back and helped to keep this site a safe and supportive space. I deeply appreciate you and am so happy that l’ve had the pleasure of knowing you. Thank you for everything 💜 sending you both so much love and peace. Send HT my hellos! You will be missed!

You will be missed.

I am not even sure how to recognize an SI without a WOES. You've been here since I joined and have always been the voice of reason and compassion, even when others struggled to do so. You have always spoken from your heart when offering advice, but at the same time, you have never been afraid to be honest and straightforward when needed. You helped make SI what it is, and while SI will go on, a piece of it will be missing.

Thank you for being so dedicated and helpful all these years, and congratulations on starting a new chapter in life. Enjoy spending the time once spent on SI with your spouse instead, making new memories and building new bridges together. Stop in now and then and let us know how things are going.

((hugs))

maise, you are such a beautiful person both inside and out. I know this world has good things for you in the future! I am so happy to have met you!

Daddydom, thank you. Don’t underestimate the power of your own voice. You too have helped many. Thank you so much for all you do to keep the Wayward forum going.

Edie, as an old timer you have been here through our journey. You have also seen the tides change here throughout the years. Thank you for being a sound voice on these boards.

WOES and HT, I'm so happy for you. I know how much this community and its founders have meant to you, and I suspect it takes courage to close the last chapter of such a long and poignant book.

Wishing you safe travels and much joy together!

I feel the same way. I always remember seeing WOES and DS hugging in DS's kitchen. Both with giant smiles on their faces.

So happy that you are making this decision for yourself. You deserve nothing but the best. smile We will miss you!!

Thank you for posting and for all you and your husband have done for this forum.

What else is there to say? It's understandable to put this part of your life aside and go on a different path now. I'm so happy for you both. The older I get, the more I'm concerned with focusing on how I want to spend the rest of my days.

Personally, I found myself here early-on seeking others with long-term experience and wisdom. I thought I could contribute better with that perspective, whether reconciled or not. Now that I'm several years out, I find it harder to relate and give relevant advice to newly betrayed persons.

You have been very impactful and important here. I'm sure your friends would be proud and happy for you too. Best wishes for you both.

WOES,

You and HT mean the world to me, and I count you both as some of the closest friends I've met since joining SI. I remember meeting you guys at DS and MH's house back in 2013, then many other G2G's and an Elf party. I am glad to hear you are doing well in your travels and are getting to live the life you want. You both are incredible people and I'm better for having spent time with you. Some of those State Fair events were epic! And who can forget the boat trip with the Patron shots lined up on the bar! It was nice to find others who taught me how to not only survive, but laugh and realize that things were going to be ok. You and HT, DS and MH, were my inspiration. Thank you. Sand and I have started to look at our life as chapters over the past 31 years and for better or worse SI is one of them. Some chapters close, and some have brief cameos in later chapters. Hint.

Take care of yourselves, stay safe, and let HT know I miss you guys.

BTW - Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway is about 22 miles from our house. Just saying. HT has my number.

BraveSirRobin, I have so enjoyed getting to know you both as staff and in person. If I am ever swinging through your area, I’ll holler.

I always remember seeing WOES and DS hugging in DS's kitchen. Both with giant smiles on their faces.

We always had the best time together!
I hope you are doing well and enjoying motherhood.

KitchenDepth5551, thank you! I think that those who are years out have a valuable voice here. It helps those that are in the thick of it realize there is a calm and wisdom after infidelity.

Tred, I’m so glad you saw this. What can I say? So many great memories. Of course we will give a shout out if/when we are in that neck of the woods.

I don’t think SI is rid of me completely. I will definitely be popping in from time to time. It’s hard to give up something that has been so meaningful in my life!

For now, peace.💖
