I've been away for a bit cus life has been crazy busy with getting my house ready to get sold.

But I now have my move date and IT'S A MONTH FROM TODAY. Whaaaat????

I still have a ton to do, but four years of dreaming and planning and working my ass off and it's finally really happening for really reals. This is the first time I have ever set a long term goal like this and actually gotten it accomplished and I am feeling very sassy with myself laugh

I'm just so grateful for where I am in my life right now - looking back to where I was 4 years ago to where I am now feels like looking at two completely different lives, and I am just so damn proud of myself. Life is pretty sweet!

Thank you @everyone!

All I can say is that moving is PAIN in the ASS. I feel like I've been packing forEVER and every time I turn around there's another pile of stuff laugh Mind you, this is after I have done junk hauling many times (seriously with all my hauls I have filled 1.75 dump trucks worth).

Sigh - so glad the end is in sight now!

laugh I'm.... good. Still packing. STIIIILLLLL. FUCKING. PACKING. I don't have a ton left, but am over it. Tonight's packstravaganza is my bathroom, my shoes, the small bookshelf in my room and associated knickknacks and paddywhacks thereon.

Had my last day in the office today so that was cool. Since covid I've only done one day a week in the office, but I dreaded it every week so very glad to be done with that part. I'm also glad I've been so busy with work and packing and logistical crap cus I haven't really had time to get too into my feels about leaving my home state.

I am just ready to close this book and start my new chapter. In one week. One week!

Sorry, rambling. Trying to psyche myself up to go pack some more laugh

Ok so spent all weekend packing. I'm down to just my clothes, my bedding, and lamps/shades. I'm fuckin tired y'all.

But the movers are coming tomorrow and then Wed morning bright and early I'm driving away. It's here for reals.

Now that I'm not super stressy packing, the feels are setting in. I was picking out mother's day cards for my mom and sis yesterday and just crying... I know it's gonna be okay but it's gonna be weird. We've not really ever lived apart from each other. I know I need to do this for myself but why do new starts always have to be so damn bittersweet?

You are taking a big step! But it will be a mighty adventure! And nothing says you can’t move back some day or make a different change— nothing is permanent. I cry when I sell a car and buy a new one- totally normal, right?

Have fun and feel those feels! (Even the bittersweet ones.)

EllieKMass! No wonder you are feeling bittersweet, the timing is hitting you, scheduled to leave days before Mother's Day!

Idea? Why not book a week at a Residence Inn or an AirBnB, and take that time to be with your Mom and say goodbye to the old town, if you can hang out there. But I'm guessing some details require you to be at the new place....
