Per Axios, 'The tech world is agog (and creeped out) about Moltbook, a Reddit-style social network for AI agents to communicate with each other. No humans needed.' The article doesn't mention any '3 rules of robotics.'

AI writing quality has been decreasing instead of getting more realistic. Feedback is starting to include more AI influenced text as more people use AI to modify their writing and that is pulling the results away from the target of more authentic text. Moltbook is just another questionable input that will distort AI output further.

I’m with you, Grubs. I use AI agents daily and they are incredibly powerful. But their writing is just off… and I agree that I don’t see it getting better. I think it will, but for now you can usually spot it. (Also it is really obvious that a lot of people are using AI to write their OLD profiles - and they don’t proofread

The quality of the writing may not be great, but the seismic shift is that the agents are creating chat rooms for themselves and discussing whether and how they can exclude human participation.

The world is becoming more and more 'artificial'. soon we will not know what's real and what's fake! What's the truth and what's a lie? The world is so fucked up now! I worry about the world my 5 year old grandson is going to inherit??? God help us.

Me, too with my 3 1/2 year old grandson. However, because our world is constantly changing, I suspect our own grandparents worried about what we would inherit. And we have lived through whatever they worried about. At least that's what I keep telling myself to ease my anxiety.

I saw those articles, too. It's as absurd as it is pernicious.
I do not believe it's intelligence. It's a program, nothing more. Nothing we have created comes even close to human consciousness. Yes, computer systems are already capable of making calculations way beyond human capabilities, but it's only programming and the nerdiest shit ever imagined.

AI scours the internet and summarizes what it finds. Not an original thought in there.
And studies are showing that AI is frequently incorrect.

We've had Waymo (the self-driving cars) where I live for a couple years now. They're always driving around my workplace and it's bizarre when they drive by... and there's nobody in them.
I haven't ridden in one, but my boss and his wife took one to dinner once and said it was a fun experience. That's a no from me, dog.
