We are in day 3 of lockdown because of ice. This isn’t snow this is solid ice. The school is closed again tomorrow (Thursday).

Some observations

1 This sucks!!

2 My Son is into Hockey, one of the only kids I know. Hockey sticks are awesome ice scrapers.

3 When the car door is frozen shut and you pull and pull. Hit the unlock it seems to help

4 We are not equipped to treat the roads

5 My neighbors form Michigan and Oregon are the biggest wusses. I’m out here with crocks and not socks. They are bundled up and cold, poor babies 😀

6 Get these people out of my house!!!

Stay safe Texans it will be 80 in a few days

I lived in the DFW area 1 million years ago in a past life. And you’re not kidding about that area not doing well in bad weather. Once while I was there, there was about a 6 inch snow… Unheard of. People freaked out. Their snowmen were square. It’s like they didn’t even know what to do with snow.

Y’all stay safe!

Stay SAFE Cuz!! I am so HAPPY it didn't get down this way. Cajuns canNOT drive in weather like that. Too many bayous around!! There are way too many vehicles that end up in the bayou without ice on the roads!!!

A "perfect marriage" is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other.

I AM happy again...It CAN happen!!!

Our front yard was an ice rink. HT’s 4 wheel drive was still no match for the 1/4 inch of solid ice on his truck and the driveway. Just went sliding down. I’m in healthcare and I have to tip my hat to those that have stayed there since Monday to take care of our patients.

It’s all gone now. Gonna be sunny and in the 50’s this weekend. Like it never happened.

Agree that we are not prepared or have the resources to keep up and running through it. Lots of experienced long haul drivers had trouble.

If you keep asking people to give you the benefit of the doubt, they will eventually start to doubt your benefit.

It's a wild ride when it ices in Texas.

Stay strong and safe and hope it's gone soon!

I remember middle school by Lake Texoma and a few ice storms. It was a huge deal because it wasn’t annual. Males me think of sand bass and catfish, yum. Planning todays dinner.
