Got mine off this afternoon. Since there was no "guarantee" of delivery by USPS on the 1st (the real nice lady said if you are you are lucky, it *might* get there...) from our rural area I just sent it over night. You all are worth it And note to Tred - self sticking envelopes. Damn rookie mistake there for not checking.
It was a bit sobering though as doing the alphabetized cards and realizing who wasn't on the list. Some of those names are lost to us forever but not forgotten, some have moved on with life away from SI, and we've heard on this thread why some aren't participating. All our missed.
Now off for some fresh homemade chicken soup...

Mine says "in transit" with the last location on my side of the border dated the 20th.
I have the lists saved for every card exchange I've been apart of and yes it's sorta sad to not see names. But it's also nice to have new names.

Mine is in the mail, sent priority, and should arrive on the 1st. And it was nice to see new names but missed some old names.

So I went and got my cards, just yesterday! Can you say procrastinator?
I went home and I wrote in every card, and then I did what I can only describe as to make an effort to win the best glittering job thus far.
Knowing that Dragn probably holds this record, I tried extra hard. 😊
However, when I got to the post office, as I am trying to be OCD and follow the rules to the letter, I had the post office person weigh each card to see how much postage I really owed. Sure enough, each of them were over the limit, I think they were at least twice as much. And then the one for Dragn, she told me that that would cost $14 to mail, because it was too fat to go through some slot. 😞😞😞 I ended up pouring half of the glitter out! Ha ha
So, anyway, I finally got them off in priority mail, and they are supposed to arrive on the first in the afternoon.
This has truly been a harrowing experience, making sure I did everything right. But SO worth the effort!
I so hope that there will be even more participating next year!

Omg!!! I gladly step down as glitter queen and crown WhatsRight!!!!
I dont think my cards will have much glitter left since thr bottom of my purse was full of it.
I finally got a an update email that my package is in Chicago.
I wonder if the glitter held it up at customs...
I am not going to rest easy until I see it's been delivered!!!

The postal worker snarled at me as she tried to help me figure out postage for each envelope.
She said, "I guess I’ll be dealing with this glitter for the rest of the day!"
So as she went to a counter behind her to get all of the right denominations of stamps for me, I tidied up our work area by reaching in and wiping all of the glitter off of her counter space with my hand. I can’t speak as to the mess on the carpet below me.
Anyway, when I finished, I was sitting there all proud of myself and begin to wonder if I was going to be arrested for encroaching on a postal workers workspace.
This is all just so much fun before I even get any in the mail. I’m just thankful this year that I have actually done my part. Last year I didn’t get mine done due to "life".

Sorry Tred! I don’t have the tech skills to post the lonely pic I did get. Lol, let’s just say the Patron bottle was empty in the morning!

Bitch Please. I have glitter in my house, my apartment, my car, on my dog, and I'm pretty sure I emit sparkle dust as I walk around in public.

This is the only one I got! I can't believe I didn't take more. Woez or any elves, please send me what you've got and I'll add them (unless they're scandalous.)

The glitter fest has begun! I've received a few cards - just wondering how many in total I should be on the look out for. Love this tradition!

I'm guessing we should be receiving 25 cards each, assuming all 26 that signed up sent out cards. Unless you sent one to yourself, then it's 26 . We are at 17 right now.

I'm disappointed that I didn't participate this year as SI cards are typically the only ones I receive. Life got in the way of a lot of things that bring me joy this year, especially in the month of October. I'll be back at it next year. Happy holidays to all!
