So my boss when I was dealing with dday1 and all the subsequent bullshit with exdouche was WONDERFUL. She was SO supportive and amazing - I honestly don't know what I would've done at work without her... (no lie, I was so useless for a couple months, I probably would have been let go if I had a shitty boss). Just one of those rare bosses that are so few and far between.
Anyways, she left in January for another company and it's just not been the same without her there. She called yesterday and wants to hire me to work for her again at her new company. We talked about the nuts and bolts for a bit, but she met with the big boss today and it's a go - 6k more a year, I get to set my own schedule, better work that is more suited to me... and the best part? I was planning on eventually leaving CO (looking for more affordable place to live) and I can keep this job and work remotely!
I am so SO excited and happy. Other than divorcing his dumbass, this is the best thing that has happened to me in a long long time.

Oh LE - Woot to the woot is right!
Good on you chica. You deserve this - you've earned this - and if you look at it like this: just one more thing the universe is doing to confirm your awesome new beginnings. (But really, it's your own awesomeness that landed this job, so let's make sure we give credit where credit is due).
How exciting to think of all the possibilities now for where you might want to live. (And you know, start scouting out locations for that tiny house paradise. Oh an 6K more worth of glittery or nail polishy things - EEK!). Just terribly exciting all the way around.
Smiling for you.

@squid @chili @bs2425 @lovetko @phoenix - thank you thank you! It's gonna be so good to work for her again! Nervous but so happy too
@chrysalis - kinda thinking of Louisiana. My mom's whole fam is from there and a lot of them are still there. We went and visited last year and the housing prices/cost of living are INSANELY cheap compared to CO. My mom is gonna retire in the next few years and she wants to go back cus she hates snow and cold. I dunno - would be a huge change for me cus I was born in CO and have lived here all my life. But given the phase of life I'm in right now, I think it might be a good change. I could afford a newer nicer and smaller house, could actually start socking away money. And just the thought of clean-slating and starting somewhere new sounds sooooo appealing right now.

EllieKMAS I lived in the mountains of Colorado for 28 years! I moved away when my youngest emancipated. I really loved Colorado, but now I appreciate the cheaper cost of living, and much less winter. I say go for it!
The ability to create a clean slate was priceless to me.
If you hate it you can always move back to Colorado.

Chrysalis where in the mountains were you? and where now?
Yeah, CO is ridiculous these days with housing prices. It seriously is almost too expensive being single here anymore.
And much as I love sitting next to a fire watching the snow, I do NOT enjoy driving in it.

HUGE congrats Ellie. That’s amazing news. I too have an awesome boss who has been so supportive during this shitty time (I too would likely have lost my job with a different boss) so I can totally get on board with wanting to work for her again.
I’m really so very happy for you!!
