One of the services that has been helping us gave the girls and I gift bags for International Womans Day.

In them were a moisturizer, shampoo, lip scrub and shower gel.

I tried the shampoo this morning and OMG!

I typically have to use a ton of conditioner to control the frizz. Not today! My curls are all ringlets. There's NO frizz at all and my hair is so soft. I'm totally blown away.

The shampoo is gritty as it contains sea salt and comes in what looks like a mini ice cream tub with a screw on lid. I just scooped a tiny bit out and the lather was so thick.

I dont know if I can say the company name but I'll be getting this from now on.

I've seen so many ads for shampoo bars, body wash bars and more natural products.

Seeing as we seem to go through so much products because the girls need so much to get it so they can brush through their hair I'm excited for them to try this new one and see how it works for them.

Does anyone else use similar products instead of the regular stuff found in stores?

I've started using "cleaner" products the past few years. But I haven't found anything that has blown me away. I feel better knowing that the products I'm using are better for my body and the earth without added unnecessary chemicals.

Failure is success if we learn from it.

I guess I'm just surprised to find something that caused such a different change in my hair. I've always tied my hair back and up because of how crazy frizzy it gets. The curls are always amazing until it gets dry then frizz/lion mane crazy hair.

Even now my hair is not frizzy. It's just shocking really.

And yes it's all natural.

Dd reacts to so many things so if this stuff works without her breaking out its a major win.

Glad you got a lovely pampering present!

I have tried different ones. I don’t know if I can say the name of what I use but I haven’t used the bars because they leave my hair too heavy with product. A friend makes an amazing soap bar I may try on my hair. She also makes a great lotion bar.

Glad you got a lovely pampering present!

I dont usually pamper myself so this was a nice treat.

I've seen on our community forum that there's someone who makes soap bars and holds classes. Always sounded interesting. I haven't tried a shampoo bar yet and with the stuff I'm using now I don't know if I will.

My DD did get shampoo bars when she was traveling internationally but I do not think hers was anything rave'worthy.

What brand is the shampoo?

I try to keep my skin care/body care simple so castor oil, jojoba oil, shea butter. Other oils like avocado, rose hip seed, grapeseed. I change it up depending what is on sale.
