Little-by-little the end inches closer.
Six years separated, six months in the process of divorcing. Case now being sent to the magistrate for a date. With COVID issues in court could take a few more months yet.
ONLY issue, and its NOT an issue, is out 15-year-old. She's been with me the entire 5 years. STBXW has NEVER had her for more than a few hours on a Sunday. She's not going for custody, nor would D want to go there anyway (STBXW is living with her MARRIED AP).
The closer the end comes the slower it seems to go.
If at first you don't succeed, you're probably screwed.

Katmandude, I remember the feeling of anticipation and limbo leading up to my divorce. Every extra week felt like forever. But I also remember the flood of relief and happiness when it finally came through. The first day of the rest of your life!
You have been separated for six years, your daughter lives with you, your ex lives with AP. You have all moved on and are settled in your new realities. That seal will only make it official.
Hopefully not too long now. Keep us posted

Attorney tells me we should be getting a hearing "VERY SOON" despite the COVID backlog.

Will the trial be the last date? Can the magistrate finalize everything for you that day? Hopefully they are doing whatever they can do simplify things due to COVID.
