Geez, the more recent members have had D-Days while locked down with their spouses.

How utterly awful.

And I'm guessing that for most of these new BSs, the WS are still sneaking off to see their APs. So not only do they have to worry about STD/STIs like we did, they have to worry about covid, especially if they are at high risk.

Me: BW, divorced, now fabulous and happy!

A close friend mentioned recently that so many of her other girlfriends have "decided to divorce" in the midst of lockdown. My reflexive response:. "Yep, harder to hide the cheating when you're all up in each other's shit all day." She looked surprised, then thoughtful, then slowly nodded.

And yes, Jana, the post D-Day lockdown must be hell. An added layer of torture to regular D days.

I cannot tell you how many times I have thanked the universe that my D got done with last Dec and that I have been single this year! I'd be in an orange jumpsuit by now if I was still married to asshat going through all this...

I would have murdered my ex if we had been locked down together. MURDER. And that's even if infidelity weren't in the picture.

My current, I just got annoyed at the way he pronounces "plantar fasciitis" and "Pinterest." I feel like those are overall pretty benign annoyances for 10 weeks day in and day out together lol.

DUring lockdown both DDs and I agreed we were thankful EXH wasn't living with us any more. Although I earned far more than him his job was far more important and he'd have taken over the whole house with his work. And we wouldn't have been able to make any noise.

I think divorce stats are going to be much higher over the next while

Me - firmly middle aged
Him XH - slightly younger (but not much!)

I talked to my attorney. Her business is BOOMING right now. It seems to be pretty universal too.

I am so grateful we are no longer together and not together for THIS because the same sort of mentality that has sex (generally unprotected) with other people while married is the same mentality that would ignore the fact that if you wear a mask you don't spread covid "fairy dust" to others. So yea. I feel like I dodged a bullet even though my divorce is happening during COVID.
