Sorry to hear about your chickens Tush. I gave up on any sort of birds just because of the constant loss. And that's with a totally enclosed coup and run. One small section of the coup floor was wood and not metal and something got in and killed everything.

The coyotes are here every night. The lights don't scare them off. I have small fireworks that sound like gun shots and even that doesn't scare them away anymore.

The goats had been locked up in their 30 foot trailer before it got dark but for some fucked up reason the boys broke the door some time after I went to bed. Found one dead under the trailer the others a bit here a bit there...

I locked the horses in the small paddock after I found the old gelding dead wrapped in the field fence and eaten. Looks like he got chased, got tangled and they got him.

Never have we had such loss by predators, especially over the winter. One morening when walking dd down to her bus we could hear howling/barking. On my way back to the house I could see a massive wolf at the forest line. This isnt close, usually we use binoculars but I could make it out clearly. The farmer lost quite a few calves and a cow last year to wolves.

Yes we still have the sugar gliders. Bob my normal make decided to attack me, bounced on the door ad I went to feed him and broke it. He's mean! Mo his mate is a total sweety though. The other boy and his girls are somewhat nice.

I just had a meeting with the school about DS IEP. He was formally diagnosed eith a learning impairment so he's getting the services and help he needs and from what they said he's doing much better. Little M has the same issues, really struggles to read. Her twin Big D on thr other hand loves to put subtitles on the TV and read them to everyone. His onky issue is that he doesn't have the hand strength to write so they wanted him using a program to dictate/write for him. I've just been helping him write at home with a soft lead pencil so it shows up easier. His hypermobility affects all his joints. He can bend his fingers backwards. Point his feet backwards at the ankle etc...

DD is enjoying high-school. She's really matured. Did I tell you guys she was the victim of a crime? I'm prohibited by law from giving details (more rights for the criminal than the victim as fucking usual) but she is doing ok. We've had alot of support through the whole thing.

I'm still not sleeping well so I might go crash for an hour or so.

Dragn, my heart breaks for you about your animals. I know wolves are protected but what is being done to protect the livestock, by officials? That is absolutely horrible to think about the fear and pain your animals went through. There has to be a better 'balance' put in place to protect people's livestock. I know that had to hurt you deeply. No wonder you've been depressed!

Good news about the kiddos - sounds like great progress.

Looks like you've had a very rough time, and it looks like you've been doing a lot to handle the damage.

I don't know what schools are doing in Canada, but schools here aren't doing a great job in teaching people to read. It's very possible that the very theory on which reading programs are based are flawed. I KNOW the theory on which history teaching is based is terribly flawed. So it may be the reading program that has problems, not your kid. I know that doesn't help much....

Hang in, Dragn. Get well.

Slight T/J

Sisoon - You really have that right! My daughter says it's a disgrace how public education is handling this. She's an administrator but takes time daily to work with at least one elementary class with reading sessions and encourages the students on HOW to read. She says with public schools - it's all about 'testing' and getting numbers right to 'satisfy' the state legislature and she gets angry just talking about it.

I'm a reader. I learned to read before starting school and frankly parents NEED to work with their kids before they enter the school system.

We KNOW Dragn does that with her children. She's a great, involved Mom.

Frankly, if kids would stay off the video games and spend more time with REAL books, that would help.

Dragn, it sounds if the school has hit on something to help your son read and that is great to hear.

You guys are great!

Whilr I wish wh could feel thr pain he's caused us (kids are hurting too), I wouldn't wish any harm on him. He's my children's father. They do miss him. Still angry at him too but they do miss him.

All I would wish for is for him to one day realize what an amazing life and family he had.

What's sad is that he's incapable of empathy. He doesn't feel remorse. He regrets getting caught. His tears and upset are for himself, not the years of hurt and pain he caused the kids and myself.

It's going to take time and a lot of work but like I told him back after his first affair (and online attempt at NSA sex meetup) I'll be ok without him.

I wish for him the same thing I wish for anyone who so severely and intentionally hurts someone. Like what I hope for Susan Smith…

I hope he lives a very long life, and every second of every minute of every hour of every day he realizes completely what he has done.

That’s all.

I wish he would win the lottery and be forced to give every last cent to you and the little dragns.

And then I wish he would realize how lucky and privileged he is to have those awesome kids that he does not deserve and do right by them!!

This is funny. I won't be playing while I'm still officially married! Once the divorce is finalized wouldn't it be sweet to win lol. And he would be owed nothing!
