And I didn't even realize it until something on Facebook triggered the date for me.

In previous years I would spend the last week or so lamenting about the unfairness of it all.

Last year I realized it was The Day on the day.

This year it passed without mention or thought.

Seven years later things don't cut as deep as they used to <3

May 29 2021 ***reclaimed myself and decided to delete my story with my ex because I'm now 7 years free from him and mentally healthier than I've been in years.

I completely understand Twice. My 30th would have been earlier in March. I knew it was coming up but forgot about the date until the day after. There have been previous years that I did not think about it at all, I guess a milestone put it on my mind.

There are times that I still feel sadness, but I know that is because we really had a good marriage...except for that one small detail. 🙄

Life goes on.This last year has been difficult so I think it feels more pronounced. I’m getting out of my CV19 shell one small step at a time. 😊

You sound like you are in a really good place, that’s wonderful!

Hey Twice...Yesterday was my old wedding anniversary too!

Isn't it great to be at a point were it is just like 'meh' when you realize the date!!!????

I am a little further out than you (11 years post D) - and it just gets better.

Raising my champagne glass to you (you know...if we had champagne and if I even drank )

Here is to better chapters!
