I am fully open about myself and glad I am this way.I am a post op MTF transsexual,grew up with a very tough childhood that was not good.Knew I was trans at age 10 hiding it in and it did get bad during the 6th grade becoming a ticking time bomb.Then finally after school one day,mom came to pick me up and principal had her come to his office.Was concerned about me and told her.She listened and noticed it too being concerned.Finally when we got home,I did tell her I was really a girl from the inside.Knew this was it and we did get help for me.After being diagnosed with gender dysphoria,started living and dressing as a girl much happier.School was informed and worked things out with me.Transition at age 15 until I was 18 and had the bottom surgery at 18 which was the best part in August of 1997.My mom does not miss the unhappy son she had that was replaced with a much happier daughter

Congratulations on your happy life change - and the courage to BE YOU.
I have two transgender friends, both are male to female and both are with law enforcement. It's not an easy life and family and friend support is so essential.
I wish continued happiness for you.

I have been rejected 3 times by men I went on a date on with.I was honest to them to.Therapist said I would of been more destructive if I did not transition.I also had my good friends support me as well and still are in in my life.Lost my bad friends that were a very negative influence in my life

Congratulations !!You had a great mom.
Most people get rejected by people they want to date or have a relationship with. Keep trying.
I got rejected a lot because I am a tall woman with a very deep voice.The few men that showed interest did not appeal to me.
I kept going. I had about 4 very good men in my life but I had to go thru a lot of bad.
Once again keep trying.

My husband whom I lost in January took it well.I do want get back in the dating scene in June if things go well.Mom is in my life still.I do not regret having the bottom surgery to this day and did get used to the results after that
