I need some suggestions for a care package.
My SIL has two brain tumors that they are going to treat with radiation. I believe it is a six week treatment plan.
I would like to send a care package, but need to know what she might like/need to make her feel better.
I don't live close, so it will be mailed in a package.

Gift card for local restaurant that has take out
Comfy clothes, yoga pants, sweat shirt
A book if she likes to read
Sending healing thoughts for your SIL

Pretty fuzzy socks
Blanket/Pillow that are soft and fuzzy
Nice lip balm and hand lotion (maybe unscented as the radiation may dry her skin and mess with her sense of smell)
Puzzle books (crossword/wordsearch/soduko)
Adult coloring book w/pens or color pencils
Favorite tea or assortment so she can find a favorite flavor
Your love, care and concern. Drop her a hand written note every few days - that will brighten them
Sending her healing vibes.

I had radiation on my hands it - 2 treatments each 5 days , so 10 days total. It made my hands really dry and itchy. So maybe explore that a little and see if a scalp treatment or conditioner would be nice.
(My radiation was far more superficial than what she’s having, so not sure otherwise).
Also had to wear a mask through the treatment, so if she’s in a mask-free area, that might be nice.
And to add to the already nice list: some nice teas and fancy cookies/biscottis.
A pretty houseplant.
DoorDash gift card so they can order out on nights they just don’t feel up to cooking.

Is your SIL retired and/or taking medical leave from work?
If that's the case, then I would send things to do.
If your SIL is continuing to work, then I would send gift certificates for things to make her life easier: house cleaner, someone to take care of her yard if she lives in a house...That sort of thing.
If she's got medical bills, then I would get her gift certificates to help her with groceries. Or GC to target.
Radiation treatments take like 10-15 minutes. My hospital was on time for at least 26 of the 28 treatments. One day a machine was down, and I was late by a half hour or so.
I had 28 radiation treatments. I chose to work through my cancer treatment. (I even took meetings while they were pumping chemo through me.)
Radiation kicked my ass the last two weeks, and I found I had to nap and reduce my hours the last week of treatment.
I thought I would have all this time to do hobbies and what not. I really didn't have time for relaxing. And it turns out, I didn't really need the comfy clothes, quilts and the like, either.
What would have been nice is someone coming to clean my house.
