Lmao, Luna just did a running jump onto the bed and then onto the dresser...she couldn't slow down in time and skidded face first into the mirror.
It was a YouTube moment.
Anyone else nickname their cats? Luna has such a long tail (it's almost the length of her body) my parents nicknamed her Luna Longtail or LLT.

Anyone else nickname their cats?
The Stig is aka Monsieur Le Pants, Woo, Sass Cow, Bunny Cat, Tiggum, Spaztastic, Penguincattum, and soooo many others LOL
Brody is aka Mr McCatten, Beans, Squeezy, Squishy, Purrballfurball, Newcomer of orange and white, pudge...
I wish I knew how to post my own pictures, cus my kitties and puppers are the cutest!! Of course I might be biased...
I think each of my pets has 15-20 nicknames. And each of my moms pets too

I've been using a site called "vgy(dot)me" for the image hosting. Could just as well use others like imgur.
Most of the time I scale the images down on my phone before uploading. It would be nice if the image tags could allow you to set a maximum size (I've tried but nothing seemed to work).
That's a lot of nicknames. Before Luna my main coon had a reverse nickname. His name was Mr. Teddy, but his "full name" was Theodore J. Fluffybutt
My mom called him the little nipper for a time when we first got him because he'd bite if he wanted you to stop something, but he got out of that habit.
I guess I sometimes call Luna "looney luna" because she's still has kitten adhd.

I pictured Luna totally different because of her name XD She looks so cute sleeping!
Ellie, I'd love to see your cats!
I'd get a cat, if only my furbaby doesn't hate them. My cat loving friend who has a lot wanted me to adopt one, but I'm sure my furbaby and the cat won't get along :(
Happy Caturday!
Now where is the puppy thread..

There was a general pet picture thread a while back, *think* it may have been off topic and not here. This place does not get a lot of traffic. I posted a ton of pictures at some point.
And you're right, we're on a whole new Caturday! And why did I wake up only 4 hours after going to sleep ×_×
I got Luna in August, she was about 5 months old and the previous owners were giving her up because she didn't play well with their toddler.
It took a while to settle on the name, I was actually thinking of naming her after something from Tolkien, like Luthien. Luna came to mind because she acts looney sometimes. Full of energy and gets carried away a bit. Plus all the Grey :)
You ain't seen anything. One day I might be able to capture it on video, but sometimes when you pet her she does a stretch with all four legs and tongue straight out. Then she brings her two front legs back and crosses her paws over her face. Sometimes she'll do this when her paws are around my arm and it feels like she's hugging me. Something I really need these days.

Here's that pet thread I mentioned: https://www.survivinginfidelity.com/forums.asp?tid=643434
Hopeful, if you want to adopt a cat you might be interested in the stray I'm currently feeding
I call him Mr. Toby. He sometimes visits and the two of them stare at each other through the glass...and occassionally try to pounce/fight each other. There's a big smudge spot on my slider door.
I would occasionally put food out for him as I've seen him around for the last few years, but now he's becoming a regular ever since the two first met. I heard this horrible crying sound and came over to see them face to face between the glass, she didn't know what to make of him at first! Although she seems to get excited (nervous excitement?) when he's around.

Thank you for the link!
I think Mr. Toby and Luna are developing a friendship <3 I can't adopt him as Luna will definitely miss seeing him behind that glass.
The stray my parents are feeding look like looking forward's cat in the middle. He's best friends with their dog (who we named kitten lol, cause he's small unlike the puppies we previously had). A total opposite of my baby who runs after cats like police chasing thieves. Don't think I'll ever have a cat for this reason.

Well I think she'll survive. If I end up moving in May, it'll be bye bye Mr. Toby anyways.
Speaking of cats vs dogs, Luna is the most dog like cat I've ever seen. She likes to carry her favorite toy (a leopard print cat wand) around...I'll see it upstairs one day, downstairs the next. Often she will be sleeping with it at night. She also likes to play fetch sometimes, e.g jump up on my desk with it and I toss it and she brings it back to me.
The last time WW came over Luna growled when the doorbell rang (oddly enough she hasn't since). Ive also heard her growling at the window at delivery trucks lol.
And you'd be surprised a cat like Luna might chase your dog around. She takes after another grey tabby I had years ago, Isabeau. She was a stray that we rescued, and she chased our 90 lb German Shepard across the house when the dog (Greta) was harassing our other cat. Greta liked to chase the cats too, and then hold them down and lick them. After Isabeau settled in, the cats took over her dog bed and bossed her around lol...
Grey tabbies are fierce.

They say pets can sense the truth about people, so~
I haven't really seen what happens if my baby ever catches a cat. I'm afraid he'd bite em to death D: he's a chow mixed breed, not so big but still heavy so I'm glad stray cats run faster
Aaww.. my baby doesn't like to play fetch. I think most chows don't. Must be that lion look (do I look like you can boss me around)? I swear unconditional love must be reserved for pets, he doesn't do anything but I love him to the moon and back.

My mom always supposed Greta knew not to kill the cats or something would happen to her. She'd go outside and snap the necks of rodents out there, so she had some killer instinct.
And aww, "love him to the moon and back" wiped my smile away :(. The last gift I gave WW was a small heart shaped necklace with the words "I love you to the moon and back"
Speaking of gifts, Luna's new window hammock came today:
I think I'm regretting this style. She was gnawing and playing with one of the support wires and the suction cup came loose...and down went kitty. She's a smart cat though, so I hope she put 2 and 2 together already.

You should have taken that back and gave it to Luna
Now if only that wand works for real so she can swish and flick that hammock to fix. Cutieee

Well I fixed the hammock, and she's been in it a few more times since. Just hope she wont try to wrestle with the support again.
The downside to waking up with her curled up like this is she usually likes to be up against my back. And I have a highly developed roll over sensor, so sometimes I'm marooned on a corner of the bed...

And down went kitty again. Moments after putting the hammock back up she was playing with the suction cup and down went kitty a 2nd time lol.
