I discovered the Gottman Institute through a podcast on Spotify. John and Judith Gottman have written and co-written several books and they have researched and proven their methods to be effective.

Eight Dates is their latest book and it is a great preventative and recovery for both parties. It recommends you each plan eight dates between each other and gives you personal topics to discuss to open communication. I can't say this will be useful if the other partner or spouse isn't on board to review the exercises. It takes two to work on a relationship and repair it. I recommend this book to bring you closer.

Dax Shepard did an Experts on Expert podcast with Gottman that was awesome. My WH listened to it multiple times and recommends it to friends.

As far as infidelity goes, the Gottmans aren't a great help, but definitely helpful in terms of communication strategies. Their free app of cards (Gottman Card Decks) are good ways to start conversations.

I'm the BS. WH had an EA/PA with a cOW. DDay was 4/17. Working on R. Married 15 years and together 20 at DDay.
DDay #2 and #3 6/19. Grew a conscience and admitted a full blown physical affair.
Current and forever status is reconciling. I don't
