Has anyone read The Betrayal Bond? I found it on Amazon and I'm considering purchasing it.

Hi EmotionalHell! I'm sorry you haven't had any response on here. I asked a question about a book, as well, and no response. I wrote it first in General and got a couple of responses, then someone suggested I post in this one, but..No responses at all! :(

Do you know anything about the book you are asking about? Did you go ahead and purchase it? If so, I'd love to know if you liked it or not!

I just now saw this section. I think so many of us focus on the JFO or General forum... Our maybe people just don't feel like reading a lot during their turmoil?

Anyway, I'll start checking in more often.

This book was just recommended to me by my group therapy councilor. It is referenced in the workbook "Facing Heartbreak." There a section that deals with the common dynamics in addicted relationships. My relationship with my sawh was described as "trama bonding." The workbook recommended "The Betrayal Bond" for more information on breaking free of trauma bonds.

I am going to read it at some point. I would love to hear from people who have read it.

I just ordered it for my kindle but my kindle broke. I didn't find it in the public library. As soon as I finish the "Love Addiction" book I am reading, it's the next logical book for me and will share my thoughts...

I'm currently trying to read it on my Kindle. However, there are tests and charts that i can't get my Kindle big enough to see. Very frustrating. I will be ordering a hard copy.

My therapist recommended Torn Asunder. I have the workbook and it looks promising. There is a book too. Simple exercises to do with a BS. I am a big believer in reading. So I will be on this forum! Please let me know if you find anything helpful.

I was wandering around Pinterest looking up different things and came across the idea of trauma bond. I will put it on my list of books to read definitely.

Thanks for the suggestions.

FYI, Resilientme..you can download a Kindle app for phone, tablet or computer and pull your Kindle books in.

Also, if your WS is willing, my WH read "How To Help You Spouse Heal From Your Affair" by Linda MacDonald. Our communication immediately improved.
