I get suckered into reading new YA books every time a new movie comes out. If the movie looks good, I immediately begin reading the book so I can finish it by the time I see the movie.

I'm over halfway through this book and I love it so far. Even though it's written by a man, I like the way Cassie and Zombie think. Yes, it's the end of the world, yes there are horrible things happening, but once in a while thoughts of crushes, or finding people attractive will happen.

Some people think Cassie seems whiny and vain, I think that she sounds like a teenage girl, not all, but I think he did a good job of portraying what a teenage girl might think and feel when everything is crashing down around her.

Any thoughts? Don't ruin the ending, I'm really getting into this!

(Also, side note: could Hollywood stop using adults to portray 16 year olds? I feel creepy thinking the actor (who is only a few years younger than me) is a total stud when he's supposed to be a sixteen year old)

How is the movie?

I love Chloe Grace and wanted to see it/read it but heard reviews were poor.

I also didn't know there was a book sequel. I should give it a go
