Israel and India

The past three weeks I have been jetting about for business. First I spent a week in Tel Aviv, Israel and then was asked to head to Vadodara, India for another week followed by a few days in California. Yes the effects of jet lag have me exhausted right now.

Anyway, I always ask for pictures so I figure I should post some of them too.

Here are some from Tel Aviv:

Happy Birthday Bugs Bunny!

Happy 75th Birthday to Bugs Bunny today !

Bugs Bunny is an animated cartoon character, created by the staff of Leon Schlesinger Productions (later Warner Bros. Cartoons) and voiced originally by the "Man of a Thousand Voices," Mel Blanc. Bugs is best known for his starring roles in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated short films, produced by Warner Bros. during the golden age of American animation. His popularity during this era led to his becoming an American cultural icon, as well as a corporate mascot of Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Bugs Bunny is said to be one of the top three most well-known cartoon characters, ahead of Mickey Mouse and Superman.

Bugs is an anthropomorphic gray hare or rabbit who is famous for his flippant, insouciant personality, a pronounced New York accent, his portrayal as a trickster, and his catch phrase "Eh... What's up, doc?", usually said while chewing a carrot. Though the Warner Bros. animation studio first began experimenting with a rabbit character during the late 1930s, the definitive character of Bugs Bunny is widely considered to have made his debut in director Tex Avery's Oscar-nominated film A Wild Hare (1940).

Since his debut, Bugs has appeared in various short films, feature films, compilations, TV series, music records, comic books, video games, award shows, amusement park rides and commercials. He has also appeared in more films than any other cartoon character, is the ninth most-portrayed film personality in the world, and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Tech Support

Of course you can UNINSTALL PROGRAM but that requires LAWYERS 2000 which includes costly daily upgrades and JUDGE 5000 which can crash at random or cause system upsets that defy logical programming.

Lenten Dinner

Anyone practice fasting and abstinence today and on Fridays? What do you do to keep it exciting? Besides church fish frys?

Tonight for dinner I cooked Parmesan crusted tilapia, fried shrimp and macaroni and cheese.

Georgia Ice storm

Last night it started to drizzle with the temps hovering around 30 degrees F. The roads never froze up but everything an inch above ground or higher did. Around nine the lights started to flicker and you could see the flashes of transformers exploding. The power was out for about 16 hours so I set up a camp fire in the driveway, made coffee the hard way and rahman noodles. It was nice to just sit by a wood fire again.

Visit to India

I've been slowly building my business. I've had a couple of clients in the US that were one time jobs so far and a fairly large development project with a company in India. Last week I got to visit India for the first time. So I thought I would share a few pictures.

Guest House I stayed in

Early morning walk along the beach

Ghandi

1400 year old Hindu Temples

Basilica of St. Thomas

Crocodile Zoo

I have quite a few albums with many more pictures including some pictures of Dubai where I had a 10+ hour layover. If anyone wants to see them PM me and we can connect on Facebook.

The Nightmare before Christmas

Who decorates for Halloween?

My big thing is Christmas. I go all out as much as I possibly can. One year I kept decorating until I ran out of extension cords.

For Halloween I have been putting up a few nets of lights and some decorations in the yard. Not too much, just trying to attract the kids. Last year I started adding a few more things and this year I added more. That's how Christmas spun out of control - add just a little bit more every year.

So here are this year's Halloween decorations:

I'm thinking of getting some dry ice and a bucket with water to make some cool fog fall over the hill for the trick or treaters.
