Wow. If my WW still had warm feelings for AP, the divorce would be quick. Talking to me about missing the AP- that would lead to a hard NC with SBXW and an even quicker divorce. I absolutely do not get the whoe is me, pity the WS crap.

The Wayward forum is possibly one of the most special places on this site. I have been around for a very long time, and it’s only in the last year or so where I post here. That’s because we betrayed spouses might not get or understand what’s going on here, yet there is no denying that the support wayward spouses offer each other here is immensely helpful for them in their work at becoming better partners.

You don’t have to get the whole pity me crap (as you so eloquently call it). In fact that you think that’s what’s going on clearly indicates you don’t get it. There is little pity in this form, but a lot of compassion and a lot of support towards healing. We betrayed husbands and wives… we can simply appreciate the effort some are making and if we cant stomach what’s said in THIS forum then remember: There are other forums where we can list our doubts, ask our questions or blow off steam. Let’s let the waywards have this one in peace.

I was very glad to see this thread, and very moved by the hard work Maia did to align her behavior with her values and become a stronger and healthier person.

I hope I’m reading the "in memory" post wrong, but if I’m correct that the original poster has passed away, I’m very sorry to hear it.

Husband had six month affair with co-worker. Found out 7/2020. Married 20 years at that point; two teenaged kids. Reconciling.

I'm afraid you read that correctly, Grieving. We recently received the news that Maia passed away.

Maia (may she rest in peace!) is not the only person who passed away in this forum.

It should be a reminder to all of us we are all closer to death every day a little more.

For those who need to make big changes to be a better person, to be a better spouse, to heal themselves and help heal their spouse, there is no time to waste.
