Anyone have any reading suggestions for the Manipulator who wants to stop? I find plenty of reading for how to sell stuff or how to quit being manipulated, but nothing for the newly-aware Manipulator.

Thanks,

Nezzy

Well, I'm not sure what is driving your manipulation. Assuming it is a need to control your environment and events, you can try several paths:

Books about letting go of the need to manipulate and learning to be authentic:

- Let it go: Manifest What You Really Want By Giving Up and Allowing, by Drew Rozell, Ph.D.

- How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, by Dale Carnegie

- Getting Real: 10 Truth Skills You Need to Live an Authentic Life, by Susan Campbell, Ph.D.

You could also try to see it from their side so you can spot the manipulation when you do it: -Emotional Blackmail: When the People in Your Life Use Fear, Obligation, and Guilt to Manipulate You, by Susan Forward.

Just a few suggestions.
