Has anyone experienced things that you can't explain?

Lots of weird stuff has happened over the years.

At the old farm house we rented, doors opened with no reasonable explanation. Air pressure wasn't it. Kids got it in their heads a ghost was living with us.

Before that both dd and ds as babies/toddlers would react with laughter at night while staring up towards one side of the crib (this happened years apart but they both did it).

And since moving here. Well let's just say I suspected my aunt and uncle just didn't approve lol. Pictures won't hang straight. A loaf of bread flew off the counter once. Wh was spooked when he opened the basement door and saw a figure. Another time he swears someone grabbed his hand while he was in bed.
There's more but I'll get to tonight's event.

I'm laying here watching videos because I still can't sleep and one of the kids heartbeat bears starts going off. We got each kid their own bear when we had the 3D ultrasound done. A recording of their heart in utero was put in the bear and you need to squeeze it to make it work. The four bears are in a display cabinet. Nothing has moved in there. After the second time of it going off I took the bear out, removed the recording and got it to stop then put it back.

So ya, kinda freaked out.

Anyone had similar experiences?

I can't say that I've had weird experiences like yours, with strange things happening in the house. I have had night terrors though where you're paralyzed and can't move and see creepy figures coming toward you and hear screaming in your head... shocked That was in my house growing up.

Ugh.

Hugs to you.

Having your house blessed by a priest could be helpful. We've had every house we've lived in blessed and haven't had any trouble with supernatural shit. Not to sound superstitious, but... there's good and bad out there, light and dark. I'd rather err on the light side.

Wouldn't surprise me if there's a lingering "aftertaste" to the evil you've been through in your home.

Oh no doubt my aunt had the place blessed at some point.

I've had dd's bear for over 25 years and it's never gone off. Last night it was one of the twins bears. Freaked me out. I checked on them a few times throughout the night.

Dd and I were in the kitchen facing eachother when the bread jumped off the counter onto the floor in between us.

One morning I got up to find the cream missing from the fridge. Found it in the girls room. We think Little M is sleep walking. Many times she's run through the house screaming or I've found her in the bathroom crying. She's never "awake" and doesn't remember the next morning. If I ask her if she's had a bad dream she can give me complete details but again has no recollection in the morning.

It's just weird. As if I need more weird shit going on right now lol.

I grew up in a house with strong activity so I have many experiences. The house is over 200 yrs old and had served as various things over the years (from a house to a funeral home to a nursing home.

We suspected our ghost did not like my father because the activity was greatest then laugh

It did not bother my mom but she was concerned the spirit was trapped here so she worked with some folks online (Sylvia Brown) and used some of things she suggested to help it along. If you google it, there are various things you can try.

I’m so jealous of people who have this type of "activity" in their lives.

Ever since my daddy passed away in 2006, I have feel like I’m waiting for him to somehow "come to me". My niece told me shortly after my daddy’s death that her 4 year old couldn’t seem to get up one morning. When he finally came downstairs, She asked him why it took him so long to wake up this morning. He answered, "Papa came to visit me last night, and we played all night long."

I’m ashamed to admit that upon hearing this, my immediate response was almost anger that my dad had come to him, and not me. But after a few seconds, I was so thrilled that got to have that experience with his papa.

So, I can’t really help you with having had any of those experiences, but I sure do envy you having them. Of course, with the exception of negative experiences.

I've been on over a dozen ghost hunts and have experienced A LOT of stuff. I'm going on another one in 2.5 weeks. grin grin grin

We've had some things happen in our house. Mostly cat toys moving on their own. The last incident a cat toy was thrown about 15'. Myself, SO, and the cat all saw it. The cat went over to play with the toy so I know she saw it too. A few minutes later the cat was down the hallway in our bedroom and she came bolting out all puffed up. She would not go back down the hallway to the bedroom with me. I suspect she saw something and got scared. That was about a year and a half ago and there's been nothing since. I suspect whatever it was is nice and wanted to play with the cat but felt bad after it scared her.

I would get a priest to bless the house. Next time something happens ask whatever it is to please leave you alone.

Keep us posted. I love hearing about this stuff.

We bought a travel trailer in May. A few weeks ago, as we were getting ready to go to the beach, we were searching everywhere for the title so that we could get it registered. We looked everywhere - in the trailer, the Jeep, the house - everywhere, but no luck, so we decided to resume the search when we got home.

A couple of hours after setting up the trailer on the sand, my daughter saw an envelope blowing by. She grabbed it and was headed to the trashcan to toss it when she noticed that it looked pretty official. She opened it while standing next to me and I was like OMG, that's ours! THANK YOU!

Here's the weird part: My sister died (14 years ago today, as it so happens) and some of her ashes are scattered at that beach. I know it was her. I know it with everything that I am.

A couple of months before she died, we had a conversation about being able to experience spirits. My daughter has frequent encounters, but they don't come to me. I believe in them, I just never experienced it myself. I feel like my sister has been doing little things like this since she passed away.

My dad died a year after she did, and as I was leaving the hospice place, a song came on the radio that was important in our relationship. It wasn't popular and it was many years after its release, and yet there it was on the radio RIGHT when I left the hospice facility. She was telling me everything's okay. I also frequently catch 11:11 on the clock, and white feathers appear. That's her, too.

My mother passed away in November 2009. She lived with us but had her own phone (landline). The following fall (November 2010) we brought my youngest daughter to the emergency room for headaches and vomiting (she had history of brain tumor). My cellphone rang and it was my mother’s number. My first thought was my other kids are calling from her phone. Then I realized I’d had her phone disconnected and cancelled the January after she died. I saved that call log on my cell and would look at it once in awhile to say wow that really happened.

So, for those of you who have more experience with these types of things, how do "they" choose who they will contact/interact with?

Oh, is this a t/j…sorry.

Like whatsrright, I believe some people have these experiences, and I wish I could but I am easily frightened (by unexpected noises or if I’m deep in thought and someone walks in the room). Maybe they know they could scare me badly. But they often come in dreams.

I think you have to be semi-open to experiencing it. Even if you don’t want it, and it scared you, somewhere in you must be a curiosity or an openness to it for it to happen. One sister and I have experienced different things. The other sister is very uptight, and always says that if you experience, you must be damned and demonic (she’s a nut job). She says she’s never experienced anything. I feel deep down Something is there for her because when my dad died, she refused to be in the room with anybody burning lavender because it was supposed to summon evil spirits (her words) or something along that line. 🤦‍♀️ I have six siblings and all but her have said something at sometime about experiencing something. The other sister and I have opened up more about it. My mother’s whole side of her family seems to have stories so we feel there must be some kind of an intuitive or whatever gene there.
